Information about admission for upper secondary schools

The SMS from us is not the admission, it is a reminder that all applicants must log in to vigo.no with minid to check (respond to) the admission.

It is Digitaliseringsdirektoratet that has support  on MinId. They can answer questiong on this subject.

Order MinID as soon as possible.  This should have been present at the time of the application.

Unfortunately, it is too late. All lower wishes fall away when you get intake on a higher wish. The alternative is to apply for local admission if you want something else. You will not receive more offers from intake. See otherwise vilbli.no for different options

Then you must apply for local admission. The school will contact you directly if or when there is a vacant spot around the start of school. 

You are set down to the same program area/level if you're not qualified for the next level.  This happends if you hav two or more subjects that have not been passed.

Everyone who is registered without youth rights will receive a response in the second round of intake. To have rights in Nordland, you must be registered in Nordland.

If one has not submitted documentation of a valid residence permit, the applicant is without youth rights and must wait for the second round of intake. All applicants must document completed Norwegian primary school, or equivalent. This must always be in Norwegian/English.

If you have not been able to compete for your desired offer, you will be applied to other offers for which you are qualified. Example: The applicant has completed vg1 electro, has applied for vg2 automation, but has been offered vg2 electrical energy and ecom. This happens if vg2 automation is full in all of Nordland, but there are vacancies in vg2 electrical energy and ecom. It is then wise to accept the offer, and yes to stand on the waiting list for what you actually wanted admission to.

Remember that local admission is not the same as the admission you apply and respond to via vigo.no. 
You should accept the offers you have received, and then you can apply for local admission in addition. You will only receive a response about a place in local admission if/when they have a vacant spot for you. Schools usually know this at the earliest around the start of school. It is the school that contacts you about a possible vacant spot.
